This course is made possible through Mental Health Services Act\/Prevention and Early Intervention funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can attend the <strong>English only<\/strong> class on\u00a0<strong>May 10<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, <strong>2023<\/strong>, or the <strong>Spanish<\/strong> class on\u00a0<strong>May 20<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Registration is required and capacity is limited.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can participate in the 8-hour Mental Health First Aid training. Whether you&#8217;re a first responder, student (18 and older), or a caring individual, you will learn the signs of and how to respond to mental health needs. (<em>This course is not intended for trained mental health providers<\/em>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a day of presentations and interactive exercises, you&#8217;ll know more about how to help a person who is experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or is in crisis. You can help them.<br>Did you know you&#8217;re more likely to encounter someone in emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack?
